The Boston Celtics selected Marcus Smart as the sixth overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft. The former Oklahoma State Cowboys point guard will be on the same team as perennial all-star Rajon Rondo. Boston Celtics executive Danny Ainge is satisfied with the pick they chose. Ainge noticed a competitive side to Smart, and thinks Smart has a great future in the NBA.

"I sorta like Marcus Smart. I like his fire. I think he's a great kid, a great player and I think he'll have a bright future," said Ainge, reported by ESPN.
With the Oklahoma State Cowboys, Smart averaged 18 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists as a sophomore last season, reported by the Boston Herald. He was an assertive presence on the court that allowed his stock value to be so high in the NBA this year.
Not only did the Celtics get a well needed pick up in Marcus Smart, they also received the number 17 overall pick named James Young out of Kentucky. He is a shooting guard who played this year in the national championship game against UCONN. His skills can be utilized also with a Celtics team that is in need of young talent.
