Tom Hiddleston will be taking a break from his role as Loki in the Marvel cinematic universe. He will be playing the role of country western singer Hank Williams in the upcoming biographical movie.

The film, helmed by Marc Abraham, is titled I Saw the Light. This film will tell the story of Williams' life as a performer, The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

Hiddleston announced the news via his Twitter account posting an image of himself wearing cowboy boots, hat and holding an acoustic guitar.

The screenplay is based on Colin Escott’s biography of Williams' life. Aaron L. Gilbert with Bron Studios along with Brett Ratner, G. Marq Roswell and Abraham will produce the film.

Deadline reported that Hiddleston will be doing his own singing in the feature film. He will sing some iconic songs from Williams including “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Hey Good Lookin’.”

Hiddleston is currently working on the film Crimson Peakdirected by Guillermo del Toro.
