Ah, the 90’s. How many of us remember those classic cartoons we loved to sit around and watch? Before there were shows like Doc McStuffins and Bubble Guppies we had cartoons would keep us entertained for hours. As we grow older, we find ourselves missing these shows we would view on our television screens.
It was just announced that The Magic School Bus was getting a reboot thanks to Netflix. The show about a teacher who takes her students on amazing, magical field trip adventures delighted us all when we were kids and it will be a treat to see how this reboot will be done.
But with this news, we also think about the 90’s cartoon shows we loved that are no longer on television. These shows make us reminisce about childhoods spent having adventures with the characters on our television screens. It would be great for these television shows to make their return as well in the form of a reboot.
TheCelebrityCafe.com is counting down the top ten shows we would love to see rebooted for television. What is your favorite childhood cartoon you would love to see make a comeback?
[new page= Pinky and the Brain]
10. Pinky and the Brain
This delightful cartoon centered around two mice, one who is a genius and the other who is insane, as the introduction theme goes. Plus, since the Brain is, well, a genius, many of the episodes were practically educational. This clip below shows Pinky and the Brain doing a hilarious speech about the brain to the beat of the an original children’s song.

[new page= Dexter’s Lab]
8. Dexter’s Lab
The show about a little boy who has his own lab was on Cartoon Network and it was an adorable show that would be a great reboot. Dexter’s secret lab is constantly breeched by his sister, Dee Dee, making for silly moments in the episodes.

7. Recess
This 90’s cartoon focused on elementary school students who form their own way of enforcing social order. It was on ABC from 1997 to 2001 and it was a popular show that would be great to bring back as a reboot.

6. Hey Arnold!
This Nickelodeon show focused on a young boy and his friends as they went about their daily lives. Arnold is a young boy who lives with his grandparents after the disappearance of his parents. This classic show dealt with all kinds of themes and made a great addition to 90’s cartoons.

5. Animaniacs
These zany creatures made for silly cartoon fun in the early 90’s. With many Warner Brothers characters through the series’ run and the hilarious antics of Yakko, Wakko, and Dot, this show was a classic that all kids loved to watch.
[new page= Doug]
3. Doug
A young boy named Doug Funnie moves to a new town and narrates his life through his journal as he meets his new friend, Skeeter, and crushes on Patti Mayonaisse. This fun cartoon was one we all enjoyed as a kid and it would be great to see it make a comeback on our screens.

2. The Wild Thornberrys
In the late 90’s, a show came on about a young girl who goes around the world in an RV with her nature host parents, older sister Debbbie, foster brother Donnie, and her pet monkey. Eliza was able to talk to animals and with many episodes set in jungle-like settings, this show taught us all about animals from all over. This show deserves a reboot.

1. Rugrats
This show was my ultimate favorite when I was growing up. Everyone who loved these characters knows the familiar faces of Tommy, Chucky, Phil and Lil, and Angelica. While we would later meet the cast again with episodes from the television show All Grown Up set ten years later, it would be fun to see a reboot about these babies wreaking havoc once again.
