Bands like One Direction and The Wanted are currently taking over the charts with their hit singles but the boy band craze really started back in the 90s when bands like The Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees and O-Town, took over the music industry. Even though The Backstreet Boys were one of the largest boy bands at the time, one band was even bigger; *NSYNC.

Before Justin Timberlake was one of the most famous musicians in the entertainment industry he was a part of this boy band group along with, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass. Now each member of the group has gone on to make their own way in the industry with Timberlake being the most successful solo artist to break out of the group.
