Tracy Morgan’s friends in the entertainment industry are asking TMZ to take down the video of the scene of the fatal car accident he was involved in last weekend, which took the life of James McNair, out of respect for his family.
Louis C.K., Judd Apatow and Dax Shepard are pleading with the website to take down the footage of the scene and aftermath of the tragic accident, which shows comedian Ardie Fuqua being pulled from the wreckage.
The Louie star tweeted, “Take it down TMZ. Now. Please,” adding, “Ur all crashing the Link to story. Tmz has a video of footage of my friends Tracy and Arte in a terrible crash. They are in ICU.”
He then wrote, “Arte's brave daughter asked them to take it down. They won't,” and posted an Instagram message his daughter wrote, telling the public “This something no one should ever see, it's hurtful and distasteful.”
E! Online reports Fuqua has been featured in C.K’s FX show in its early seasons and he’s the opening act to Morgan’s stand-up routine.
Another comedian, Dax Shephard, condemned TMZ for keeping the video up, writing “@TMZ is our worst cultural offering. It's just a click below ‘Ow My Balls.’”
