Two weeks after his tragic crash, Tracy Morgan has been transferred to a rehab center to carry out his recovery process. The comedian and actor was hit by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey turnpike, which killed fellow comedian and friend James McNair.
His spokesman, Lewis Kay, said in a statement, “Tracy has been transferred to an undisclosed rehab center, where he is expected to remain for the next few weeks.”
Daily News reports the statement continued, “While he is continuing to show signs of improvement, he still has a long way to go. He and (fiancée) Megan (Wollover) wanted to publicly express their deepest gratitude to everyone at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for the unbelievable care and attention they provided him.”
Federal investigators said in a National Transportation Safety Board’s preliminary report released Thursday that the Walmart truck driver that caused the June 7 six-vehicle crash was speeding at the time. The driver has also pleaded not guilty to charges of vehicular homicide and assault by auto.
