ABC's Hillary Clinton special with Diane Sawyer was no match for Jack Bauer or NBC's American Ninja Warrior on Monday night in the ratings, but still did manage to draw a decent audience.

Fox topped the night with a 1.6 rating in the 18-40 demographic and 5.475 million viewers. MasterChef dipped slightly to a 1.5 rating, while 24: Live Another Day slipped to a 1.6 in the demo, reports HitFix.

Right behind in the advertiser-important demo was NBC with a 1.5 rating and 4.62 million viewers. American Ninja Warrior, following on a Last Comic Standing repeat, was down slightly to a 1.7 rating, but still was the top program in the demo for the evening.

CBS narrowly beat out ABC with a stronger overall audience of 5.21 million viewers, but tied in the demo with a 1.0 rating. The network aired mainly repeats, with the exception of a new 48 Hours, which fell to a 0.9 rating in the 18-49 demo, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

ABC averaged only 4.55 million viewers, with Sawyer's interview with Clinton doing all the heavy lifting with 6.1 million viewers and a 1.0 rating. The Bachelorette recap special snagged only a 0.9 in the demo, while Mistresses slumped to a 0.9 as well.

The CW took in a 0.5 rating and 1.3 million viewers. Whose Line Is It Anyway improved to a 0.7 rating, but Beauty and the Beast ticked down to a 0.3 in the demo.
