Former Tennessee Titans Quarterback Vince Young says his NFL career is over.

He said he was moving on in an interview with KXAN.

“Its definitely official I think in my book,” he said. “Unless we get a great opportunity, something guaranteed…other than that I’ve started moving forward in some things.”

His future professional goals include becoming an ambassador for the University of Texas, where he led the Longhorns to the 2005 National Championship.

“Right now we’re going through the details,” Young answered when asked about Texas.

Young has not played in the NFL since 2011 and he has been cut by the Green Bay Packers and the Cleveland Browns in the past two years, according to ESPN.

He started his career with the Titans in 2006 after being the third overall pick in that years draft. He was a two-time Pro Bowler for the Titans, but was cut from the team in 2010. He last played for the Philadelphia Eagles in 2011, appearing in six games for them that season.

While at Texas he was a consensus All-American and he won the Davey O’Brien Award and the Manning Award for the top quarterback in the country
