It’s official. After incessant rumors, ABC has confirmed that Rosie O’Donnell will be returning to ABC’s The View next season, joining the only remaining co-host, Whoopi Goldberg.
The View’s official Twitter page confirmed the news on Thursday in addition to an ABC News report.

This news follows confirmation from Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy that they will not be returning next season, and of course the controversial remarks from O’Donnell’s nemesis, Elisabeth Hasselbeck.
O’Donnell was only on the show for one season; from 2006-2007. She didn’t even finish out her contract when she left on bad terms following a heated on-air dispute with Hasselbeck.
Fans of The View, created by Barbara Walters, will have to sit tight until the network announces who will be returning with Goldberg and O’Donnell for next season. Rumor has it they want a conservative co-host to join the panel to mix things up.
