Alabama running back Kenyon Drake was arrested Saturday morning after failing to listen to orders by police by crossing a crime scene.
He was charged with one misdemeanor count of obstructing government operations, according to AL.com.
Tuscaloosa Police spokesman Sgt. Brent Blankley told AL.com that Drake did not listen to the police.
“He was trying to cross a crime scene,” Blankley said. “We had a shooting and his vehicle was parked inside the crime scene. We told him that he could not get his vehicle and he tried to cross the crime scene anyway so he could get his vehicle”
Drake will be a junior this fall and is expected to compete with T.J. Yeldon and Derrick Henry for carries this season. Last year, he rushed for 694 yards and eight touchdowns as the primary back up to Yeldon before losing the job to Henry in the Sugar Bowl, according to USA Today.
He was being held in a country jail and his bond was set at $1,000.
