Houston Texans star wide receiver Andre Johnson is unsure whether he will play for the team or not this year.
When he was asked by the NFL Network whether or not he would be in a Texans uniform week one, Johnson was very vague, “I don’t know. I can’t answer that question.”
Johnson has skipped the voluntary workouts and the mandatory minicamp, costing himself just over $1 million from an offseason workout bonus, along with being fined by the team for missing the minicamp. He could also be fined $30,000 a day if he misses training camp, according to Pro Football Talk.
Johnson is unhappy with the Texans organization because of the way they finished the 2013 football season and because they did not draft or sign a high quality quarterback this offseason, according to the NFL.com.
Johnson is signed with the Texans until the end of the 2016 season and he is scheduled to make $10 million in base salary this year.
Johnson has spent his entire 12 year career with the Texans recording 927 receptions, 12,661 receiving yards and 61 touchdowns according to ESPN Stats.
