The Real Housewives of New York aired its Season 6 finale on Tuesday night, which featured Aviva Drescher flinging her prosthetic leg across the room.

Drescher was fighting with her cast-mates Heather Thomson, Carole Radziwill and Kristen Taekman about whether or not she actually had asthma when she decided to take off her leg to make a dramatic point.

“There were three shrews attacking me, and I really just wanted them to zip it," she told People.

"Some people throw down their glasses when they get angry and I just threw down my prosthesis. And you know what? It worked. They fled."

She also says she has no regrets about throwing her prosthetic leg and hopes to continue raising awareness for amputees like herself.

Drescher also told Access Hollywood of the incident, dubbed #leggate on Twitter, that she felt she had to do something drastic to “make a point” that she was not lying about her illness.
