It was a happy ending for ABC’s Bachelorette Andi Dorfman and her new fiancé, Josh Murray, on the finale, but not before a very awkward moment with runner-up Nick Viall.

Viall told host Chris Harrison he wanted to have a conversation with Dorfman, but it quickly became an intense television moment.

"If you knew how in love with you I was, why did you make love with me?" he bluntly asked, and Dorfman became visibly angry.

Us Weekly reports she told him, "That's below the belt.”

She then defended her actions, saying she let him know it wasn’t going to work out before choosing Murray.

"I didn't have you pick out a ring. I didn't have you walk down there and think you were gonna propose to somebody. I did that out of respect for you,” she said.

Meanwhile, last season’s winner, Nikki Ferrell, called the show “trash” and accused the producers of staging the scene.

“Gee I wonder who told Nick to say that....How the producers of @BachelorABC sleep at night is beyond me. #trash,” she tweeted.
