Former Boston Celtics star Bill Russell was taken to the hospital after feeling faint and collapsing while in the middle of a speech in Nevada, but is said to be doing fine.

According to ESPN, the Celtics say that the hospital visit was a precaution and he is "feeling better."

Once Russell checks out of the hospital, he will return home to Seattle. He was attending a speaking engagement at the Incline Village's Hyatt Regency resort.

A witness told The Associated Press, the basketball legend was in the middle of a story about Wilt Chamberlain when he suddenly looked dizzy and fell to the ground.

Former star Charles Barkley and current star Stephen Curry were both at the American Century Championship and expressed well-wishes for the 11-time champion, USA Today reports.

"Hopefully he's all right. He's meant a lot to the game and definitely solidified himself in history," the Golden State Warrior said.
