Blake Lively, known for her role as golden girl Serena van der Woodsen on Gossip Girl has officially launched her lifestyle website Preserve.
Blake Lively first mentioned the website back in September 2013 as reported by TheCelebrityCafe.com and the big day has finally arrived. Fans can now view join the Preserve website and read articles on fashion, food, and home along with browse and possibly buy in a shopping section, which includes a range of products, from cooking ingredients to jewelry.
Though the website has been compared to Gwyneth Paltrow’s popular lifestyle website Goop, at least aesthetically there are some major differences. While Goop’s pages are very light, Lively’s Preserve color is darker and deeper, creating a different feel to the website.
In her first letter to the editor on Preserve Lively wrote about the website’s goal, saying, “We haven't looked at Preserve as a new website, but rather as a new street. A sort of greatest hits of "Main Street, USA". While the whole world races to keep up with technology, we tighten our laces, join the race, but our end goal is to preserve what's already there.”
