NBA veteran Boris Diaw, 32, will resign with the reigning NBA champions San Antonio Spurs.

Diaw signed a three-year deal worth $22 million. Yahoo Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski broke down the specifics.

Diaw averaged 9.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2.8 assists during the 2013 regular season. Diaw improved all his averages during the Spurs championship run.

The Spurs seem to be gearing up for another run at the title with their group of savvy veterans. Manu Ginobili has already announced he will return next year as will Tim Duncan.

Diaw has earned great respect from his teammates, especially fellow Frenchman Parker. “Everything that you see him do today I’ve seen him do it the last four or five years doing that. He was playing great basketball in Phoenix and had some rough years with the Bobcats. When the Spurs asked me about Boris and should we take him, I was like ‘he’ll be a great fit for our team,’” Parker told Sekou Smith of NBA.com.
