Cameron Diaz did an interview with Esquire magazine and revealed why she decided not to have children.

According to ABC News, Diaz, who recently starred in Sex Tape, revealed “It’s so much more work to have children. To have lives beside your own that you are responsible for- I didn’t take that on. That did make things easier for me. A baby- that’s all day, every day for eighteen years.”

She admitted the decision wasn’t easy, since she is protective over others, but she didn’t feel the urge to become a mother.

In talking about her film, Diazalso revealed she gets naked for the first time in her film, but also said, “It’s just a part of the role. So I did it. I mean you see everything.”

Huffington Post reported her nude scene also has another star, actor Jason Segel. The actor has gotten naked in the past for roles, including a scene from the 2007 movie Forgetting Sarah Marshall where he was full-frontal. The scene caused his mother to e-mail relatives to warn them about her son’s nudity.

In addition to her discussion on not having children, Diaz also discussed why she enjoys being 41, calling it “the best age.”

The August issue of Esquire will be out on July 8.
