Another All-Star player has decided to remain with their current team after exploring free agency, as Carmelo Anthony has reportedly opted to sign a multi-year deal with the New York Knicks.

Chris Bosh decided to remain with the Miami Heat for a huge payday, so too is Anthony, who will likely earn $129 million over five years, the New York Daily News reports.

Anthony had been looking between the Knicks and the Chicago Bulls, who couldn't come close to that deal. At best, the All-Star would earn $77 million over four years had he left for the Bulls, though that team is closer to contending for a championship than the Knicks.

With Anthony out of the picture, the Bulls have turned to focus on signing Los Angeles Lakers free agent Pau Gasol.

They are looking at possibly going forward with a sign-and-trade, where a source told the Chicago Tribune, the Lakers could get Mike Dunleavy, along with Ronnie Brewer, Lou Amundsen and Mike James, who have non-guaranteed contracts.
