Autopsy reports and graphic photos of celebrities who have recently passed away have reportedly been breached in the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office.

According to New York Post, employees of the medical examiner office in New York City have been secretly viewing and sharing the graphic photos and autopsy reports of recent celebrity deaths – including Phillip Seymour Hoffman and L’Wren Scott.

“Too many people have access to the files — crime scene photos, autopsy reports — and share it with coworkers,” a source revealed to The Post.

While employees do not normally have access to these cases, it appears as though the employees went around the computer’s security system in order to view information on the dead celebrities, reports the Daily Mail.

While a New York Medical Examiner spokesman, Julie Bolcer, claims there is no way any employee would have been able to access these files, an investigation will follow to ensure the Medical Examiner’s security system is secure.

“Only authorized employees who use our systems for their daily casework have access,” Bolcer tells The Post. “There are extensive security measures in place.”
