Actor and producer Matt LeBlanc turns 47 today. LeBlanc first appeared in a 1987 Heinz Tomato Ketchup commercial. In 1988, he starred in the television drama TV 101 for one season. He went on to star in a spin-off of Married... with Children titled Top of the Heap on FOX, which lasted seven episodes.
LeBlanc gained worldwide fame after playing Joey Tribbiani on Friends for the twelve years it ran, as well as on the spin-off of Joey, which lasted two seasons.
He has appeared in the films Lookin' Italian, Ed, Lost in Space, Charlie's Angels and its sequel and All the Queen's Men. His production company, Fort Hill Productions, co-produced the made-for-TV movie, The Prince, in 2006. In 2011, LeBlanc began appearing as a fictional version of himself in Episodes, a BBC/Showtime television series. LeBlanc won the 2012 Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Series Comedy for his performance.
LeBlanc has a daughter, Marina, from his previous marriage with former model Melissa McKnight.

Somali fashion model, actress and entrepreneur Iman Abdulmajid turns 59 today. Iman was discovered by American photographer Peter Beard, and moved to the United States to begin a modeling career. Her first modeling assignment was for Vogue in 1976. She soon landed some of the most famous fashion magazine covers, establishing herself as a supermodel.
Iman was an instant success in the fashion world. She became a muse for many prominent designers, including Halston, Gianni Versace, Calvin Klein, Issey Miyake, Donna Karan, and, in particular, Yves Saint-Laurent. She is signed to TESS Management in London.
Iman started her own cosmetics firm in 1994, focusing on difficult-to-find shades for ethnic women. As of 2010, Iman Cosmetics is a $25 million dollar business. It is centered on foundations in 4 formulations and 14 shades, and is among the top-selling foundation brands on Walgreens' website.
Iman has a daughter, Zulekha Haywood, from her previous marriage to basketball player Spencer Haywood. In April 1992, Iman married British rock musician David Bowie. They have one daughter, Alexandria Zahra Jones. Iman is also stepmother to Bowie's son from a previous marriage, Duncan Jones.
