Just a few short hours ago, it appeared like The Houston Rockets were about to land free agent Chris Bosh, but he reportedly has decided to return to the Miami Heat, even in the wake of LeBron James' departure.
According to league sources who spoke with Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski, the Heat returned with an offer of five years, $118 million.
The Heat were originally looking to sign him for the same time span but for the reduced and $88 million, but that's obviously changed with James off to Cleveland.
According to Yahoo Sports, as part of the new contract, $30 million is guaranteed.
With Bosh reportedly about to be locked up, Woj tweeted that the Heat were now pushing to get Dwyane Wade and Udonis Haslem agree to new contracts.
The decision to stay in South Beach might leave the Houston Rockets in the lurch after they agreed to send point guard Jeremy Lin and a first round draft pick to the Los Angeles Lakers for cash and the rights to an overseas player.
Bosh averaged 16.2 points and 6.6 rebounds per game this past season and is only 30 years old.
