There is a sigh of relief in the air as hearts were shattering around the world as Golden Globe award winning actor Chris Colfer had announced his departure from his television debut show Glee. Now we are learning that his Twitter had been hacked.
Colfer, 24, has been a main cast member since the shows premiere back in May of 2009. His character, Kurt, has gone on to become a fan favorite and his relationship with Blaine, another character portrayed by the incredibly talented Darren Criss, has become one of the entertainment industries most popular couples.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that his Twitter has been hacked as the actor is in mid-Atlantic flight without access to WiFi or to his account.
Colfer’s departure would have been a huge shock to fans of the television series as within 15 minutes of his tweet, there had been over 4 thousand retweets with the news. This would have lowered the original cast down to three as Lea Michele (Rachel), Kevin McHale (Artie) and Amber Riley (Mercedes) are the remaining original Glee-club members to return for next season. Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina) has not been seen except for a few sightings last season and with the passing of late actor Cory Monteith (Cory) last summer, there would have been a large ache left in the storylines.
Last known for Colfer’s character was his engagement to his partner Blaine and continuing to attend the fictional NYADA. Fans hope this may be a publicity stunt or joke to promote his new novel due out on July 8th.
There is no word as to who hacked Colfer’s twitter but whoever did just gave the entire Glee fandom a heartattack.
Due to personal issues, I have been let go from the cast of GLEE. Explanations will come shortly...
