Sorry Harry Potter fans, it looks like Daniel Radcliffe won’t be reprising his role anytime soon.
Amidst the release of J.K. Rowling’s new short story set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter, which features a nearly 34-year-old Harry Potter, rumors have swirled regarding the possible resurrection of the Harry Potter franchise.
When questioned about the new short story and whether he would consider reprising his role as Harry Potter, Radcliffe said, “I’m inclined to say no,” reported the New York Daily News.
Nor are the odds likely that there would be a screen adaptation of the story, as it is only 1,500 words long, according to CNN.
The story is written from the perspective of a gossip correspondent covering celebrity sightings at the Quidditch World Cup Finals. Potter is described as having a few gray hairs and still wearing the same round glasses of his youth.
The story is part of a series of pieces about the 2014 Quidditch Cup that have been posted on Pottermore.
