Yaya DaCosta has nailed the look of late songstress Whitney Houston, right down to her 1,000-watt smile. But the former America’s Next Top Model runner-up won’t be providing her own vocals in her portrayal of Ms. Houston.

TMZ has reported producers of the Lifetime biopic have experienced difficulties obtaining the rights to Houston’s music as a result of her family believing that a television biopic does not honor her properly. As a result, according to TMZ, singer Deborah Cox will provide Houston’s vocals for the upcoming film.

According to The Huffington Post, the Lifetime biopic is set to premiere sometime in 2015. Directed by Angela Bassett, the film is said to be focused on Houston and her relationship with ex-husband and New Edition member Bobby Brown. In keeping with their displeasure with the TV film, Houston’s family has not been involved in the production of the film and her daughter Bobbi Kristina has been very vocal in her criticism of the film.

A snippet of Cox performing “I Will Always Love You,” arguably Whitney’s greatest hit, has surfaced. Listen to the Audio Clip here:
