The New Jersey Devils signed three players, two forwards and a goaltender, to open free agency on Tuesday.

Center Mike Cammalleri signed a five-year, $25 million contract, while right wing Marty Havlat and goaltender Scott Clemmensen both signed one-year contracts for $1.5 million and $600,000, respectively, according to NHL.com.

Cammalleri and Havlet were both signed to add scoring depth to a team that scored only 2.40 goals-per-game last season and went 0-13 in shoot outs during the season.

Clemmensen will try to become the back up to goalie Cory Schneider, after the Devils did not re-sign Martin Broduer before free agency.

Cammalleri told reports that he think’s New Jersey is a good fit for his style of play, according to the AP.

“I just have to come in and be the best teammate I can be,” he said. We all like to score goals, but I’m going to do what I can to help the team. I think there’s a good fit here, between the club and myself, the skill set I can bring.”

Havlat became a free agent after the San Jose Sharks bought him out earlier this summer after he scored 12 goals and assisted on 10 others in 48 games last season.

Clemmensen returns to the team he was drafted by in the eight round in 1997. In his 12 seasons in the NHL, Clemmensen has appeared for three teams and holds a 73-53 record in games started, according to the NHL.

The Devils did lose one player to free agency as defenseman Mark Fayne signed a four-year, $14 million contract with the Edmonton Oilers
