Ellen DeGeneres is best known for her work as a comedian and day-time talk show host, but soon enough she’ll be adding another achievement to her already impressive resume.
DeGeneres recently announced plans to launch her own line of products, E News Online reports. The collection will be based around fashion and home essentials, but will also feature items for pets. Additionally, there are plans for holiday items.
The official name of the brand is E.D., In Style notes. It’s also not a coincidence. The name of the brand is derived from Portia De Rossi’s nickname for her wife.
And while E.D. products have yet to hit shelves, the 56-year-old seems pretty optimistic that her collection will be a hit.
“I wouldn’t be doing this if I didn’t want it to be the biggest brand name that you can imagine,” says DeGeneres in an interview with WWD. Furthermore, DeGeneres insists she’s “not trying to launch a little boutique situation.”
Assisting Ellen in the development of her brand is J. Christopher Burch, Ace Showbiz states. The first line of products will be released between October and November.
