Emma Stone appeared on the Late Show on Wednesday night and told David Letterman she believes her late grandfather brings her quarters.

Admitting it’s far too long of a story what the significance of quarters meant in her family to explain in the short amount of time she had on the show, she said she’s convinced that her grandfather leaves quarters for them.

“There's a long family history with quarters. My grandfather leaves quarters. And it's just amazing. It's him! It's absolutely him," she said, People reports.

She continued, "It's such a long story that you'd have to go to commercial five times and roll to a clip and then come back and I'd still be telling the story. But it's him, you guys, it's him!"

Stone, 25, plays a medium in the upcoming Woody Allen film Magic in the Moonlight, also starring, with Colin Firth, and said she never even met her grandfather when he was still alive.

"It's not a logical thing. It's magical,” she said.
