Fox has announced its Fall 2014 season premiere dates and will begin with Utopia, a new reality series that’s taking the place of The X Factor. Of course, the only show that many care about is Gotham, which is being held back to late September.

The Batman prequel series will not premiere on Fox until Sept. 22 at 8 p.m. On the same night, last year’s surprising hit Sleepy Hollow will start its second season.

But first, there’s Utopia. Fox is really pushing this series hard by giving the show a special Sunday night launch on Sept. 7 after an NFL game. It will then move to its regular time slot on Tuesdays at 9 p.m. on Sept. 9. There will be six episdoes on Fridays as well, beginnign on Sept. 12 at 8 p.m.

Utopia is essentially a new twist on Surivivor, with 15 Americans dropped in a location where they will have to built their own civilization.

The show’s regular Tuesday slot will be the lead in for New Girl and The Mindy Project. Red Band Society, which stars Octiavia Spencer and counts Steven Spielberg as a producer, will start on Sept. 17.

Fox is also holding back the 10-episode limited series Gracepoint for Thursday, Oct. 2. It will be paired with Bones.
