Just like their big brother station FX, FXX is gearing up its fair share of original content, including Man Seeking Woman, a new half-hour sitcom under Lorne Michael's Broadway Video banner starring Jay Baruchel. The show has just received a 10-episode order from the new station.

Deadline reported on the new program, based on the book The Last Girlfriend on Earth, Man Seeking Woman by Simon Rich, who wrote the pilot and shares an executive producer and showrunner credit with Jonathan Krisel. The show will center on Josh Greenberg (Baruchel), a naive romantic who, after being dumped by his long-time girlfriend, decides to go on a desperate quest for love.

In addition to showrunning, Krisel will also be directing at least the pilot. Also executive producing alongside Michaels and Krisel is Andrew Singer. At 30 years old, Rich has become one of the youngest series creators ever, after already being one of the youngest writers in SNL history. Besides Baruchel, Eric Andre, of The Eric Andre Show fame, Britt Lower and Maya Erskine are also signed on to star in the show.

Additionally, the sitcom Death Pact is also at works at FXX, from It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia creators Rob McElhenney, Charlie Day and Glenn Howerton. Although, the status of the show is currently unknown as star Tracy Morgan is still recovering from a serious car crash on June 7.
