After helping the German national team to the World Cup Toni Kroos has agreed to a transfer from Bayern Munich of the Bundesliga to Real Madrid of La Liga.

Real Madrid is getting a player with a lot of experience playing in big games. In the past year Kroos has won the World Cup, the Bundesliga title, the German Cup, the Club World Cup and the UEFA Supercup with Bayern Munich, according to Real Madrid.

His contract with Bayern Munich was set to expire following this season. Kroos has signed a six-year contract with Real Madrid, according to a statement made by the team.

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge thanked Kroos for helping Munich to success during his time with the club and wished him success with Real Madrid, according to a Bayern Munich statement.

Kroos, who is now 24, started playing for Bayern Munich when he was just 17 years old, making him the youngest player to play in the top division in Germany.

He played in 173 games with Bayern Munich, scoring 23 goals. He has also earned 51 caps for the German National team, scoring seven goals.
