The Utah Jazz will have three days to match that offer. The team has previously said that it will match any offer the 24-year-old gets. However, we’ll have to wait and see if that holds true with a contract this massive.
Heyward was reportedly seeking a four-year contract with the Jazz in the neighborhood of $13 million a year, however, the team was not willing to offer him any more than $12 million. He made around $3 million last year.
The 6 foot 8 small forward was drafted by the Jazz with the 9th pick in the first round of the 2010 NBA draft.
Last season, Hayward appeared in 77 games for Utah, but shot just 41 percent from the field and 30 percent from the 3-point range.
