If you watched last night’s MLB All Star Game on Fox, one thing was very obvious. Fox needs you to watch Gotham. The network teased the show throughout the night and even forced us to listen to Joe Buck list the members of Batman’s rogues gallery. Between the game, Fox showed a new teaser, highlighting how dingy the city really is.
In the 47-second teaser, we see Jim Gordon show up at a crime scene, with the first villains of the show all watching over him. There’s a hint that Gordon is a returning war hero and he’s coming back to clean up the city. “This town is at a tipping point,” Gordon says in the narration and he’s the one who can keep it from falling over.
Ben McKenzie stars as Gordon and Donal Logue is his partner, Harvey Bullock. Cory Michael Smith is the Riddler and Robin Taylor is playing the Penguin. Jada Pinkett Smith is also in the teaser as Fish Mooney.
Fox announced last week that Gotham will be airing on Mondays this fall, starting on Sept. 22 at 8 p.m.
