Since the LeBron James free agency saga is officially over, Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra made comments on James’ departure from the team. Spoelstra took the high road and did not bash the King.

According South Florida’s Sun-Sentinel, Spoelstra accepts what James had decided to do, and he said James should not have any regrets on his decision to go back to Cleveland.

“We don't have any regrets. He shouldn't have any regrets. It was a historic four-year run," Spoelstra stated.

Spoelstra also mentioned how the NBA is constantly changing, and how players and everyone involved with organizations have to adapt to change. He said change is apart of the NBA.

Spoelstra stated, "This league does teach you that it's inevitable that there's constant change and you always have to continue to embrace change, adapt with change.”

Along with Spoelstra, Dwyane Wade spoke highly of James despite him fleeing Miami to return to the Cavaliers. Wade said LeBron made the right decision and James would always be apart of Wade’s family, reports the New York Daily News.

“We shared something unique and he will always be part of my family,” Wade stated. “LeBron made the right decision for himself and his family because home is where your heart is.”

In the aftermath of James leaving, many Heat fans feel angry and upset. Spoelstra did not seem to show those same emotions. He is happy with the team’s success in the four-year run they had together.

Last season the team was fantastic. The Heat’s record lead them to another division title, proven by NBA.com.
