Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno is coming back to NBC for an appearance on the summer reality show Last Comic Standing. He will be the last comic mentor on the show, appearing during the “Title Round.”

There are just five comedians still in the running for the prize, which includes a talent deal, a development deal to create a TV show and cash, totaling up to $250,000.

During the “Title Round,” host JB Smoove surprises each contestant with a plane ride to a secret location. There, they will meet “one of the funniest comedians in the world,” who turns out to be none other than Leno.

During the episode, the five comics get some personal time with Leno, asking a variety of questions about his 35 years in the stand-up business. Hopefully, the answers will help them in their careers as stand-up comedians.

After that, they have to put their newfound knowledge to use and perform for judges Roseanne Barr, Keenan Ivory Wayans and Russell Peters. One comic will be going home.

This will be Leno’s first gig for the network since he handed over the reins of The Tonight Show to Jimmy Fallon. Since that time, Leno has resumed touring the country and performing.
