Jennie Garth, who is known for playing Kelly Taylor on Fox Networks’ Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, and the CW’s 90210, revealed some advice she has for soon-to-be celebrities.
Garth is a veteran in Hollywood, getting her start in the industry at the age of 13 for her role on ABC Family’s Growing Pains before landing the coveted role of Kelly Taylor on Fox’s Beverly Hills, 90210.
The actress recently revealed a few words of advice she would give to someone who is newly famous, stressing the importance of remaining down-to-earth and not letting the fame get into your head.
“Don’t believe the hype. Don’t buy into it,” Garth tells Fox News. “The minute you start believing that you are special or more important than the next person is when things start to go wacky.”
The CW’s 90210 had its last season in 2013 due to poor ratings, however, Garth recently dissed the chemistry between the cast, claiming they did not work well together.
"That's an example of a cast that really didn't have that chemistry, you know," Garth spilled on Sirius XM’s Just Jenny. "It's hard to find actors who have that. It's like lightning in a bottle, and you either have it or you don't."
Do you think 90210 would still be on the air if the young actors would have taken Garth’s advice?
