When she’s not critiquing celebrity style on Fashion Police Joan Rivers spends time dipping her hand into politics. Rivers recently backed Israel in the fight against the Palestinians.
In a video recorded by TMZ at LAX, Rivers was asked about the violence between Israel and the Palestinians. Rivers didn’t hesitate to passionately slam Israel and the media.
“If New Jersey were firing rockets into New York, we’d wipe ‘em out,” said Rivers, creating a scenario.
Rivers then went on to say that the Palestinians can’t fire rockets and not expect Israel to defend themselves. She even slammed Selena Gomez for her “Pray for Gaza” post on Instagram last week, reported Fox News.
Gomez possibly received the most heated part of Rivers' wrath, touched with sarcasm.
“Oh, Selena Gomez, yeah, that college grad. Well if Selena said that...let’s see if she can spell Palestinian,” Rivers said.
Apparently Rivers visited Israel during the time the fighting began. She said she knew Hamas had been firing rockets at Israel ‘for months’ because she was there.
Just before Rivers went along her business, she specified the media outlets she was disappointed with.
“BBC should be ashamed of themselves and CNN should be ashamed of themselves and everybody stop it already!”
