Another chapter in the book of Justin Bieber’s legal troubles has closed. The 20-year-old singer pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor vandalism charge that stemmed from him throwing eggs at his neighbor’s house back in January.
According to Rappler, Bieber was not physically in court to enter his plea. Instead, his lawyers entered the plea on his behalf before Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Leland Harris.
The singer was sentenced to five days of community service and will have to participate in an anger management program. Bieber was also hit with two years of probation, during which he is to stay away from his neighbor, the alleged victim of his egg attack, and the neighbor’s family. He will also have to reimburse his neighbor more than $80 thousand to cover the cost of repairs to his home as a result of the attack.
Justin Bieber’s team said, in a statement released to Entertainment Tonight, that "Justin is glad to get this matter resolved and behind him. He will continue to move forward focusing on his career and his music."
