Justin Bieber’s DUI case, stemming from his January arrest in Miami, Fla., has been delayed again. Both sides attended a hearing on Wednesday and requested three more weeks to either reach a plea deal or go to trial.

Bieber was arrested on Jan. 23 for suspicions of driving under the influence, resisting arrest and driving without a valid license.

Florida’s WPTV reports a new hearing has been set by Miami-Dade County Judge William Altfield for Aug. 5. Assistant State Attorney David Gilbert and Bieber’s attorney Mark Shapiro appeared a the hearing, but the “As Long As You Love Me” singer was not required to attend.

"It's pretty much status quo," Shpairo told The AP about the delay.

Bieber was found to be under the legal limit for the state of Florida at the time of his arrest and urine tests showed he was also under the influence of marijuana and Xanax. Police described Bieber as being involved in an illegal street race at the time of his arrest.
