Actress Katherine Heigl reflects on her acting career and being apart of romantic comedies. Heigl has not been in the spotlight since she quit Hollywood in 2009. She stepped away from the limelight to focus on her family life.

Marie Claire UK had an interview with Heigl discussing her past and future endeavors.

“I had an amazing time. I love romantic comedies. I was so stoked to be doing them. But maybe I hit it a little too hard. I couldn’t say no. There’s nothing wrong with them, but maybe I overloaded my audience. I should have done a superhero movie or a psychological thriller,” Heigl said.

She is back in the public eye and is prepared to re-launch her already successful career. What the actress is involved with now is a television series called State of Affairs. When discussing the television show with the producers, she requested to do 15 episodes in a season. The request was made so Heigl could go back to Utah were she draws her creativeness from.

Heigl noted, “We made a deal [with the producers of State Of Affairs] that we will only do 15 episodes a season, so I can go back to Utah and do all the things that inspire me.”

According to IMDb, Heigl has won two separate awards back in 2008 and 2010 at the People’s Choice Awards. Also, she was apart of the successful television series called Grey’s Anatomy.

Jenny’s Wedding is the next film project Heigl will be staring in. Names such as Tom Wikinson and Linda Emond joined her in the film project as well.
