Deputies were called to the Comedy Store on Sunset Boulevard after an altercation ended in Katt Williams, American comedian and rapper, pulling a gun on another patron.
In 2012, Williams was arrested for a similar exchange outside of a Hollywood nightclub. Faizon Love, a fellow comedian, told TMZ that they had a minor argument outside the club that resulted in Williams retrieving a gun from his car.
While Williams is no stranger to these situations, TMZ reports that a “heckler” began poking fun at the comedian’s appearance and race prior to his show last night. While Williams was not on stage at the time, eyewitnesses claim the comedian immediately began threatening the man with a gun.
A witness called 911, resulting in a total of nine cop cars being called to the scene, however, deputies entered the Comedy Store with their guns drawn only to find Williams had already fled the scene.
While there has been no arrest warrant issued, the investigation will continue until further information is obtained.
