Former Disney Channel star Kyle Massey has landed a recurring role on the new show Gotham.

Gotham is Fox’s new fall drama that will be a sort of prologue to Batman. According to Gotham’s website, the show will follow Commissioner Gordon’s rise from a young detective to Police Commissioner in Batman’s ominous city. The show will also show Batman’s famous foes such as Catwoman, The Penguin, and The Joker and how they become the sinister villains from the comic books.

Kyle Massey will play street urchin Macky, according to TVLine. Massey is known for his roles on That’s So Raven and Cory in the House. Massey was also runner up on the 11th season of Dancing With The Stars.

Some other notable actors set to appear on Gotham are The O.C.’s Ben McKenzie as James Gordon and Jada Pinkett Smith as crime boss Fish Mooney. The premiere date for the show is yet to be set. Fox has released an extended trailer for eager fans ready to get a glimpse of the drama.
