Lea Michele is taking on a guest-starring role on FX’s Sons of Anarchy, a show drastically different from the role she’s known for on Glee.

Michele broke the news herself on Twitter, calling SOA her “favorite show,” even tweeting photos of herself on set.

“I'll be appearing on an episode of my favorite show @SonsofAnarchy! Thank you so much @Harparbar & @sutterink #SOAFX,” she first wrote before telling fans she “woke up so excited.”

“On set at @SonsofAnarchy with my favorite person @Harparbar this is so cool! #SOAFX,” she then wrote.

Michele posted the photo with Paris Barclay, who’s a director on both Sons of Anarchy and her show Glee, E! Online reports.

A rep for FX described Michele’s character, Gertie, as "an empathetic truck stop waitress and single mother, who connects with Gemma during a difficult time.”

This is the final season of SOA, and other guest stars include Walton Goggins, Courtney Love and Marilyn Manson.
