LeBron James has kindly apologized to his hometown near Akron, Ohio, for the uproar he caused amongst fans upon his decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers on a free agent contract by sending out 70 dozen cupcakes. James announcement to return to Cleveland on July 11th caused fans and reporters great excitement, but also was a hassle for neighbors and the police.
According to ESPN , James purchased 70 dozen cupcakes from Baker Blvd Decadent Desserts, the company co-founder stated; he then sent five dozen to the police department and 65 dozen to all of the neighbors in his hometown Bath. Each set of treats contained two different flavors of cupcake and an apology letter asking for forgiveness for the uprising that occurred recently when James made his plans to return to the Cavaliers public knowledge. James also showed gratitude for his neighbors in the letter.
James began playing for the Cavaliers in 2006 until he signed a contract with Florida’s Miami Heat a few years later. While playing for the Heat, James helped the team win two championships. Fans from Cleveland now have high hopes that he will help their team win several awards as well, Reuters noted.
