Popular star Lindsay Lohan sued the popular video game Grand Theft Auto for using a game character based on her without her permission.
According to Pop Dust, Lohan filed a lawsuit against the creators of Grand Theft Auto for invading her privacy by using her character Lacey Jones. The game went about bringing in $800 million in the first-day sale during its launch.
According to Newsday, Lohan, who turned 28, filed the lawsuit in Manhattan. She mentioned saying that fifth installment in the violent crime-drama series from Rockstar Games used a voice, image and clothing fashion similar to hers besieged by paparazzi. She also stated that a game locale had been her home for a time which is Hollywood's famous Chateau Marmont hotel.
According to US News, Lohan's suit reported that Jonas, the character in the game, is an "unequivocal" reference to the "Mean Girls" and "Freaky Friday" star.
Last year Lohan filed a suit against rapper Pitbull for referencing her name in the song "Give Me Everything," however, the judge dismissed the lawsuit.
