Actress Lindsay Lohan is suing the makers of the video game Grand Theft Auto V, for creating a character that is an almost exact replica of herself.

BBC Newsbeat reports that the actress is suing the video game makers for creating a character that is based on her without her permission.

The similarities between Lohan and the video game character, named Lacey Jonas, stem from her image, clothing style from her clothing line and voice, as well as the West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont hotel, where Lohan used to live.

In the games story mode, Lacey Jonas asks the protagonist for help avoiding paparazzi, similar to Lohan's public struggles with paparazzi attention.

According to the Associated Press, Lohan filed the suit in a Manhattan court Wednesday.

Grand Theft Auto V is the latest installment of the video game series. It was released in September of last year, with sales topping $800 million on its first day.

Grand Theft Auto V game maker Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. and subsidiary Rockstar Games have not yet responded to the suit.
