Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, 28, is reportedly holding out of training camp this year. Michael Robinson, former Seattle fullback and locker neighbor to Lynch, broke the news over twitter.

Lynch will be fined $30,000 for every day of training camp he sits out according to Sports Press. The reigning Super Bowl champions are set to open training camp Friday at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton, Washington.
Lynch also threatened to skip out on a mandatory mini camp in early June as well. Lynch avoided $70,000 in fines by attending the three-day mini camp, but did not participate in drills due to an ankle injury.
Lynch enters his third year of a four-year contract worth $30 million, plus $6 million in signing bonuses. Lynch will make $5.5 million in 2014, but wants to renegotiate his deal for more up-front money.
Seattle already made Richard Sherman and Earl Thomas the higest-paid players at their position earlier this offseason. The team will also expect to pay Russell Wilson a lot of money as his rookie contract will expire next year.
Lynch is a face of the franchise for Seattle, which will make this standoff all the more interesting.
