Mary-Louise Parker is heading to NBC's The Blacklist where she will guest star in the second season.

According to E! News, the role is described as a recurring one and she will make her first appearance in the second season premiere.

The Weeds alum will play Naomi Hyland, who is described as a strong woman and she has been keeping a dangerous secret hidden from her husband. Series creator Jon Bokenkamp only would add that Hyland is "completely tied" to James Spader's Reddington.

"We start to learn little bit more about Reddington and his mythological history," Spader said.

This is actually the second NBC gig for the Emmy-winning actress on NBC. She will also star in the miniseries The Slap, The Boston Herald reports. Pater Sarsgaard also stars in the series that looks at how two families handle the aftermath of when one parent slap's someone else's kid.

The Blacklist second season is set to premiere on Sept. 22.
