Mozhan Marnò has been tapped for a series regular role in the upcoming second season of NBC's The Blacklist.
The House of Cards actress will play former Mossad agent Tamar Katzman, according to The Hollywood Reporter, who first learned of the casting. Katzman is described as highly perceptive and she will go up against series star James Spader's Red Reddington.
Including her role as Ayla Sayyad on the hit Netflix series, Marnò also has had guest role spots on The Mentalist, In Plain Sight and the Madam Secretary pilot with CBS.
Her addition to the sophomore season of The Blacklist comes just days after it was revealed that Weeds alum Mary-Louise Parker also joined up in a recurring role on the drama.
Parker will be Naomi Hyland, a strong woman and who has a dark secret she has never told her husband. She is also "completely tied" to Reddington, creator Jon Bokencamp said.
Spader noted, "We start to learn little bit more about Reddington and his mythological history" thanks to the addition of Parker's Hyland.
The Blacklist returns to NBC on Sept. 22.
