On Tuesday, Oscar Pistorius’ agent took the stand and described the sprint runner as "hypervigilant" and "fidgety.”
CNN noted that Peet van Zyl testified that Pistorius grabbed his arm when they heard a bang while on a street in New York, but denied that the double amputee was prone to angry outburst. Van Zyl went on to say that he lost his temper more than Pistorius did in the years they worked together.
The agent also said that the athlete loved Reeva Steenkamp and was excited to share many aspects of his life with her.
Pistorius fatally shot his girlfriend through a bathroom door in his home last Valentine’s Day.
The prosecution has said that he intentionally murdered the 29-year-old after the two had an argument that morning. Pistorius, however, maintains that he only shot Steenkamp after he mistook her for an intruder.
The trial restarted on Monday after a month-long hiatus in which the Paralympian was evaluated by a group of doctors. They found that he was not mentally incapacitated when he shot the model.
Pistorius has plead not guilty to murder and weapon charges. If convicted, he faces 25 years to life in prison.
