Oscar Pistorius’ lawyers are angry over leaked video footage of their client reenacting what he says happened the night he fatally shot his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp.

According to News.com.au, the double amputee’s attorneys have slammed the “illegal” release of the video, which aired on Australian television Sunday night.

In the clip, Pistorius is seen standing in a corner without his prosthetic legs on and pointing his hand as if aiming a gun.

Later, the athlete is shown putting on his prosthetics and then carrying a woman’s body down a staircase before placing her on the ground.

The Paralympian’s legal team said that the video was part of a “forensic examination” and no permission to air the footage had been given.

The 27-year-old is accused of intentionally murdering Steenkamp last year on Valentine’s Day after the two had an argument. Pistorius, however, contends that he only shot the model after mistaking her for an intruder.

He has plead not guilty to murder and weapon charges.
